Do you honour yourself and lead a life of integrity? Not too long ago, instead of reflecting on my own inner beliefs and desires, I relied on the outer world/societal pressures to make decisions in my life. No wonder I was consistently unhappy. I started to take full accountability also for the actions I'm not proud of. However living with integrity doesn't just include the major things, but also the small things we do in our everyday lives. Am I proud of the standards I've decided to hold myself to? Did I leave a mess in my hotel room after checkout or did I tidy up a little to help an overworked housekeeper? Did I stand up for a colleague who was being bullied at work? Did I tell the cashier that she gave me too much change back? I've learned that how I do anything is how I do everything. Real integrity is about behaving in alignment with your internal values, beliefs and visions regardless of the consequences and even when nobody is looking. It's about respecting who you truly are.💗 It's not always easy to act in integrity on a daily basis but each time I like to remind myself of building the confidence to do the right thing conscientiously.💫
